Whenever I hear a Bride and Groom met at Young Farmers, I always know there will be a fair amount of cheekiness throughout the day! One thing I’ve learnt whilst shooting weddings, these guys sure know how to party!!
Lisa and Luke were married in Gloucestershire and had their reception in a marquee back at their home, complete with a fake cow to collect their wedding cards! The cake was a huge pile of chocolate brownies, which looked stunning on the chopped log, and background decorations by the super talented Jenny Fleur. Jenny not only provided all the floral details to the wedding (bouquets included), she was also a bridesmaid. Needless to say she totally rocked her roles, as I’ve found she always does whenever I’ve worked with her.
Lisa arrived at the church in a gorgeous horse and carriage, run by Catherine’s Carriages. The ceremony took place in the lovely Tirley Church where some more super talented friends of the Bride and Groom sang, whilst playing the guitar and piano for the signing of the register. It was a really lovely ceremony that had lots of personal touches.
Back at the marquee, Lisa’s horse came by to visit the couple, which was a really special moment for Lisa. It was lovely! We moved on to taking the newlywed’s photos together, before I was popped into the bucket of a JCB and lifted skywards by the best man to get a group photograph of everyone and their surroundings! Luckily I’ve got a good head for heights so thoroughly enjoyed this slightly different experience 😉 I was very thankful to the best man though for remembering to return from the photograph to let me back down again…!
As a surprise for the couple, one of the bridesmaids had arranged for some secret waiters to serve drinks through the afternoon, who then broke out into the marquee after the speeches and performed their hearts out for everyone! They were absolutely fantastic and had everyone on their feet applauding several times. Nobody suspected anything throughout the afternoon, so it really was a huge surprise for all who were there! Apologies – I can’t find their details but if I find them I’ll add them…
The party soon began and the dance floor was immediately in action – I could have photographed these guys for so many more hours…!
